How do I....?

...publish Iconics' GraphWorX screens to WebHMI for thin client use over the web?

There are multiple ways to publish your GraphWorX screens for use in WebHMI. The easiest way is to use FTP. Once you have your GraphWorX screen built, hit the Publish to HTML Button.

Select the Publish to Webserver option and type in the HTTP URL (ie. http://www.mywebserver.com/webhmi). In the advanced options, go to the Publishing Channel tab and select FTP Channel.

When you publish, you see the following dialog box:

Here you need to enter the FTP URL and appropriate login information.

This eliminates the need for any special permission requirements in IIS for your website and is the only supported publishing method for Windows Server 2003.

ZoneControl Accumulation Conveyor Retrofit

Older accumulation conveyors often have mechanical sensor rollers that control each of the zones. Mechanical sensor rollers operate by depressing as the conveying product passes through. However, as small cartons are conveyed, they often do not weigh enough to press down the sensor rollers, which will create a jam or side-by-side situation that will result in a jam.

Retrofitting troublesome mechanical sensor technology with the ZoneControl Zero Pressure Accumulation (ZPA) system is an ideal solution. ZoneControl is an electronic conveyor solution that can easily replace the function of the mechanical sensors for a fraction of the price of a new conveyor. ZoneControl corrects product flow problems by using photoelectric sensors to detect product instead of mechanical detection. Retrofitting can increase effective throughput by as much as 100 percent.
